70 year old man found dead at Sumter auto repair shop

The taking pictures happened early Tuesday early morning.

SUMTER, S.C. — A man was observed shot and killed at his automotive store in Sumter early Tuesday early morning. 

In accordance to the Sumter Sheriff’s Division, 70-yr-old Willie McDuffie from Lee County was located dead in his vehicle restore store.

On Tuesday morning July 19, 2022, close to 8:30am, deputies from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Business office, alongside with EMS staff, responded to a business enterprise along the 1500 block of Airport Highway in reaction to an unconscious male observed within the constructing. 

Deputies and EMS determined the issue was deceased from gunshot wounds and contacted the Coroner’s Place of work.

He was found by a household member inside of the office. 

Sheriff Anthony Dennis mentioned, “This business enterprise is a tiny close knit team of relatives and buddies, and they applied their skills to help other folks. We are hoping to validate motive but so much, McDuffie’s loss of life helps make no feeling. We have a total crew of investigators doing the job on this circumstance. Whoever is dependable for this senseless death wants to be held accountable. I am inquiring any individual in the neighborhood, anyone that realized this family, if there’s a little something my investigators need to know, get hold of this place of work.
